We're a Nicaraguan family who, encouraged by demand, decided to open the doors of our home to travelers back in 2010.
In those years, San Juan del Sur was just beginning to grow as a destination, but places to stay in town were scarce. Since today's booking platforms didn't exist yet, travelers would walk the streets asking house to house for somewhere to sleep. They often knocked on ours, drawn in by how lovely our space looked.
That's how we decided to adapt our house and turn it into what is now Casa Romano. Ever since, we've welcomed people from all over the world, turning every visit into a chance to share and make new friends.
